Explore Sahasrara, the crown chakra.

Thursday, July 25 - Sunday, July 28

Welcome to the Feast of the Magdalene retreat! At the heart of this annual gathering is our celebration of community and sisterhood. During this retreat, we will explore the teachings of Mary Magdalene in conjunction with Sahasrara, also known as the Crown chakra. This chakra is a gateway to the divine, connecting us to the universal consciousness and our higher selves. When balanced and activated, Sahasrara bestows us with clarity, spiritual insight, and a profound sense of unity with all that exists, making it the perfect complement to Mary Magdalene's unwavering devotion, profound intuition, and deep spiritual connection.

As always, we'll continue to incorporate the tradition of Talking Stick, sharing in smaller groups, offering a safe and supportive space for each individual to share their voice and be heard. Through this sharing, we'll strengthen our connections to one another and to the wisdom of Mary Magdalene.

Through creativity, love, and ritual, we invite you to strengthen your connection to your spiritual insights and take the strength and inspiration you gather back into the world. Our sister facilitators will guide you through each session, providing insights and practices to help you deepen your connection to Mary Magdalene and to yourself.

Whether you're new to the teachings of Mary Magdalene or a seasoned practitioner, we welcome you to join us for this powerful and transformative retreat. Register now to reserve your spot and experience the magic of the Feast of the Magdalene.

Mary Magdalene

She Who is Present with Beauty by Kelly Crandall

Mary Magdalene is a powerful figure who has been revered by many spiritual traditions for centuries. While she is often associated with the Christian tradition as a disciple of Jesus, her story goes beyond that.

Mary Magdalene was a woman with her own identity, dreams, and hopes separate from her association with Jesus. She was a prophetess, an angelic messenger, and an apostle who bore witness to Jesus resurrected. Her strength, power, knowledge, wisdom, and divinity originated from within herself, as a woman and a high priestess to the Mother, rather than as a consort, caretaker, or helpmate to a man.

It is her story that flows through our veins, is stirred in the water of our wombs, and is needed now more than ever in this time of war, strife, and great discord. Her story as a sovereign being, with her own thoughts and feelings, teachings and memories, is a reminder of the power and potential of every human being, regardless of gender.

Through the waters of the womb, we can birth peace, compassion, understanding, acceptance, and love. Mary Magdalene's teachings and example continue to inspire and guide us on our spiritual journeys today.

Sahasrara, the Crown Chakra

Since 2017, we have both honored Mary Magdalene and explored one chakra each year. We will continue through all seven before we choose our next path of study.

This year, we are deepening our connection with our crown chakra, the Sahasrara, a powerful gateway to the divine, connecting us to the universal consciousness and our higher selves.

We explore the energy of Sahasrara and its connection to the legacy of Mary Magdalene, offering practices and tools to help you strengthened your intuition and connection with the Divine.

Windover

After being nomads for a few years, we found Windover, a gem of a place to hold the annual Feast of the Magdalene.

Windover Women's Resort was founded by a small group of friends in the 1980s, in hopes of providing a safe, outdoor camping experience for all women to "bewhatchawannabe."

Owned and operated by Women and conveniently located in Michigan's Thumb,  Windover Women's Resort is so much more than a girls' camping weekend away. Windover is a welcoming sisterhood and lifelong friendships in the making!
